My sculpt and paintjob was stolen and mass produced!?
Hello. I've been producing an original prop for over 4 years and have plenty of reciepts, photos and customer testimonials. Suddenly this EXACT prop is showing up on the covers of catalogs and on websites as a mass produced item. This item is my EXACT work. Was wondering if there was any legal action I could take that would not break my bank?
did you patent your idea? if not, then i'm sorry, but there isnt much you can do even though you have proof that it was yours to begin with (ie photos w/dates, and customer testimony). you can check to see if its patented already. if it isn't, then you can and do it ASAP, and they'll have to get permission from you to use YOUR product. good luck. here's a website to get information of how to patent product. hope it helps
