Can someone describe my Irish Tin?
I purchased a tin from a yard sale. It has the Round Tower in Glendalough, it has Killarney, and the Dunluce Castle which are all located in Ireland. What I am wondering is why it has a swastika if all those pictures are from Ireland?
Germans call Swastikas, Hakenkruetz.
The word Swastika, comes from India, meaning Happy Existence.
Before Hitler, Swastikas were found everywhere, it was a general good luck charm. Which is why in America it has kept it's name as Swastika and not Hakenkruetz, the German word for it.
